This is What NYC’s Subway System Looks Like as of 4PM Due to The Blizzard

In case you haven’t notice, there’s a major blizzard hitting New York City and the northeast dumping over 2 feet of snow already in some parts. As of Noon today, all MTA buses and Acces-a-Ride have been suspended; at 2:30PM all non-essential vehicles are prohibited on all NYC roads and now as of 4:00PM, MTA has suspended all elevated subway services and lines that run in cuts outdoors along with Metro North and LIRR.

In other words, you’re pretty much fucked if you live in the outer boroughs where there elevated subway lines run (or if you live near 125th street on the 1 train, you’re shit out of luck as the station will be bypassed with service terminating at 168th street on that line. Oh and Staten Islanders who rely on SIR are screwed also so you’re stuck wherever you may be.

Below is the schedule as follows as per MTA who’s clearly not going your way. By the way, since when did we become such pussies (no offense to women and vaginas) that we now have yearly shutdowns of our subway service? Maybe besides investing so much money on the Fulton Hub downtown and extending the 7 line, the MTA should have invested that money to have system that runs smoothly during a blizzard.

All stations and lines ghosted out are not in service as of 4PM. Only underground subway stations are operating until further notice in NYC

The last trains for Metro North and LIRR have already departed so there goes that option for you to. If you can’t get home, find a friend, get on Tindr, Grindr, or Scruff and find someone to hunker down with and make the best of a situation.
